AWPA is seeking submissions from key stakeholder groups

Stacey Mills - Friday, May 17, 2013
The Australian Workforce and Productivity Agency (AWPA) is undertaking a study of skills and labour issues in the food industry-encompassing agricultural production and food and beverage processing-to support higher food exports and meet growth opportunities in the Asian Century.

AWPA has produced a Food and Beverage Workforce Issues Paper, a report outlining the current state of the food and beverage workforce, as well as outlining key challenges and opportunities for the future of the industry. AWPA is seeking submissions from key stakeholder groups to help formulate our final report and recommendations.

The issues paper, together with a template for submissions, is available on AWPA’s website. Additionally, we are giving organisations the opportunity to submit case studies relevant to the study. A template is available on the website. A submission to the questions for discussion would be highly appreciated. Please note that submissions are required by June 7th.

Additionally, if you would like to arrange a personal consultation to discuss your thoughts/opinions on the issues paper, please contact Simon Stratton at simon.stratton@awpa.gov.au or by phone at (02) 6102 8916.
